Rick is the principal of RDM Architecture, founded in 1979 and based in Kansas City, Missouri. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University, College of Architecture and Design, Certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, and professional registration in Missouri and Kansas. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is active in the Kansas City chapter, including having served a three-year term as President.
He served as Chairman of The Heart Forest Foundation and as a member of the Kansas City, Missouri Main Street Design Review Board. He is a former Director of the Ward Parkway Homes Association, past member of the Board of Directors of Union Hill Arts, Inc. and past member of the board of CUBE, the Center for Understanding the Built Environment. He served a total of seven years on the Kansas City Architectural Foundation Board including two as President.
